Reading a match

What the reasoning, evidence, and flags on a candidate mean.

Every candidate comes with Roster’s reasoning. Here’s how to read it.

The verdict

  • Strong match — the work clearly fits the role.
  • Good match — a fit, with a gap or two worth checking.
  • Weak match — adjacent work, little ownership.

Evidence and flags

Under each verdict, Roster lists what it read (the systems they shipped, the projects they led) and flags what to confirm, like whether someone has managed a team. The verdict is a starting point; the decision stays yours.
